I wanted to post all about my fun weekend with the grand~kids
But will post about my appointments at the Cleveland clinic this morning instead.

After drinking a gallon (ok..It wasn't,,but sure felt like it)of that yucky stuff I found out I still had to have the IV for the CT scans.
Nasty....but ok...

Then I walk out and Mom tells me "Kelly" wants to talk to me.
Debbi thinks...Who is Kelly????
She is my cardiologists assistant .

So we wait for her to be done with a patient.....
Debbi thinking this could NOT be good .I wasn't suppose to talk to anyone today::::frown:::::

Called back and she says your heart values are good etc...
Debbi is thinking something is still not good ,I'm no dummy...She wouldnt have me in here::::frown::::: it comes.....
"BUT the bottom part of your heart is not pumping properly."
As she draws my heart on the paper for Mom and I.You may have a blocked artery.

They may want to put me on Plavix and wait 6 weeks for surgery...::::frown:::::
NO thinks Debbi!!!!

They may want to do a heart cath , I may need stents. ::::frown:::::
NO thinks Debbi....

This was suppose to be the one thing I DIDN'T have to worry about...
I even blogged about how I PASSED this test?
My cholesterol was "exceptional " were his words....
Didn't he tell me my EKG was good?!?!?!?!?!
Didn't he tell me he felt confident enough that the stress test and echo would be good and he would let his assistant handle it , while he went on vacation?????

He did say there is a chance it "could" be nothing...
LOL...This is Debbi we are talking about.
At first I almost cried..or maybe I did cry..not sure was in shock. I'll have to ask Mom....
Now I am laughing...Yes laughing...Once again...I have ....

I have to take simvastatin. I can have my surgery on time after almost breaking down crying when they acted like I had to wait 6 weeks. But 6 weeks after surgery I have to have a heart cath.done.

I am still hoping and praying that the bone scan and the CT scans this morning show the cancer hasnt spread.
But right now it's laughable....I was so sure I passed at cardio. :)

I'll tell you all about my grandkids visit next blog. And post some cute pics. They had a ball.

  1. Oh, that sucks, Debbi! Thank goodness you can have your surgery on time, and - although they're not risk free - cardiac catheterizations are routine for doctors these days. I know, it's easy for me to say because I'm not the one going through it. It's good to know that it won't cause a delay in the surgery though. I'll send up an extra prayer for you. Take care.

  2. Debbi I'm so sorry to hear about this cardiac complication. ERGH!! Hang in there. Here's to clear, unremarkable scans!! [[[hugs]]]
