I'm loving Ambian

I have had trouble sleeping for several years now
I've been so sick for a long time with my breathing and pain.

But now I am loving my Ambian.
If not for it I wouldn't get much sleep at all
I zip along all day...And other then a passing thought that the surgery is coming soon
I do really well. BUT nights are a different story.

Nights I lay awake and THINK...and when you THINK , you can't get back to sleep.
Ambian only puts me out for about 3-4 hours.
Then I lay awake and think...or even worse
If I do fall back asleep I am now having nightmares.
So usually it's just better to get up. Nightmares are not good.
I only take it a couple times a week.
Just enough to catch me up on some needed sleep.
But it may be sleep I wouldn't get otherwise.

7 days to go...I am hating this count down and will just be so thankful when its over.
I think when it's all over , it's dreading it that's the hardest.

On to a happier note and pic .
My baby geese are growing so big. I can't get over how quick they grow
We did lose one a week ago to a fox or raccoon or something.
But those things happen.
Here they are !!
Aren't they adorable!!!!!!

  1. NanaDeb,
I'm Marie from the "BCO" board. Love your blog. Love the geese. Im a farm girl myself (work on the family farm). It's not the kind with animals, but we raise bedding flowers in the spring then become a veggie farm for our stand.

Sending you hugs. WIshing you could get more of peaceful nights rest, but at least you are getting something.

    God Bless.

  3. Yes, I decided that stick around BCO after my own scare. I was one of the lucky ones where the Dx was B9, but I also sensed a need there for someone like me. Many of the "newbies" who show up only see those (for the most part) who were Dx-ed with BC so they never get to the the "80%" .

Besides as I got to meet many of the women there, I realized that many of them stay away from the "Not Diagnosed" forum because (understandably) many are just not ready to deal with the newbies who are freaking out of a call back for a mammo.

I knew I could fill that need (something of a sentinel); I help guide the newbies thru that awful waiting time of testing and waiting for results while they are dealing with actual treatment

If a newbie does end up with a positive Dx, then I direct them to the other forums where many of the ladies are more able to deal with someone who has found herself to be "part of the sisterhood that no one wants to be part of"

  4. Deb! Ask your doc about the longer-acting Ambien, lasts 7-8 hours. It will come in handy after BMX!! Wishing you lots of restful slumber.

  6. Darn racoons, those geese really are adorable though! So glad you are getting some rest. I like Renn's idea on longer acting Ambien. I have a friend taking that and it has literally changed her life.

Ok, I think we figured this darn thing out... LOL I am not a blogger I prefer blawking... ok, more fails ... OYY!!!!! MY poor mom no wonder she has test anxiety, btw.. did everyone know she failed an ink blot test too, she didn't know you weren't supposed to cut them out.. sorry mom just teasin, but what can you do but inject some humor into a time like this, to be quite frank I am so F~n scared of losing my mother, she has always been my sword and shield in life, just wish there was more I could do than just follow... I remember my aunt karen going thru this, and then watching my dad slowly dying in front of me, throwing up all night and holding his hair and helping him in and out of the bathtub, he was so embaressed, life is totally cruel sometimes, but it does make you stronger too.
